During our last trip to India, this was really one of my (Daniëlle) favourite dishes and I probably ate it 10 times. Furthermore, it is nutritious, tasty, and quick to prepare. I like the combination with chapati or paratha and dal the best.

What do you need?
1 tbsp vegetable butter
1 tsp coriander powder
0.5 tsp turmeric
0.5 tsp cumin powder
0.5 tsp garlic powder
0.5 tsp ginger powder
0.5 tsp salt
0.25 tsp black pepper
0.25 tsp chilli powder
500 grams of tofu
1 large red onion
2 green peppers
What should you do?
1. Cut the tofu, green pepper and red onion into coarse pieces.
2. Add 2 tbsp vegetable butter to a pan along with all the spices. Stir well once and then add the tofu. Fry the tofu for 5 minutes.
3. When the tofu turns a little golden / brown, you can add the sliced onion and bell pepper. Fry until the onion is translucent and turn off the heat.
4. Serve with dal and Indian bread.
