It's an easy and tasty recipe that you can put on the table in no time. We often make this dish when we have rice left over from another dish, because we always have the other ingredients at home. Delicious in combination with dal and/or Indian bread.

What do you need?
2 tbsp vegetable butter
6 average garlic cloves
1 large onion
3 average tomatoes
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp chilli powder (to taste)
0.5 tsp cumin powder
0.5 tsp coriander powder
0.5 tsp salt
0.25 tsp turmeric
0.25 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp tomato puree or ketchup
50 ml water
250 grams basmati rice
Handful of fresh coriander
What should you do?
1. First of all, cook the rice according to the package
2. Meanwhile, finely chop the garlic, onion and tomatoes. Then add 2 tbsp vegetable butter to a pan together with the garlic and onion. After 2 minutes, you can add the tomatoes.
3. When the tomatoes have softened, you can add all the spices. Stir well and then add the tomato puree/ketchup together with the water.
4. Add the cooked rice, stir well and serve with some fresh coriander.
